Looking for lower cost counseling?
Rhea’s training consisted of working as an individual and couple’s
therapist at Waterloo Counseling Center, serving the GLBT
population. Rhea is also trained in EMDR. To learn more about
EMDR, please visit the EMDR International Association.
In addition, Rhea provided short term counseling to women and
couples at the YWCA. Rhea also brings with him experience in
groups. At Waterloo, Rhea co-led a gay men’s processing group,
and he co-led a group focusing on healing women’s past trauma at
Austin Recovery Center. Rhea is currently forming a group at
Waterloo on sexual health for people in recovery from drugs and
alcohol.

insight, and he utilizes role-plays and dramas, meditation, and
mindfulness, while tapping into the here and now in the therapy
room.
