Lorena Lara, M.A.

LPC Intern

Lorena graduated from St. Edward's University with a Master of Arts in Counseling and holds a BBA in Finance and Management from the University of Texas at El Paso.  Lorena is EMDR trained, and is bilingual and provides counseling services in English and Spanish for individuals, couples and groups in the following areas:

Prior to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern, Lorena practiced as a Licensed Massage Therapist and massage therapy educator for 17 years.  Her interest in helping individuals achieve wholeness and wellbeing has led to her transition as a mental health professional. 

Lorena completed her internship at Goodwill of Central Texas, and has experience in working with individuals of all walks of life with a wide range of presenting problems.  She believes in treating individuals as a whole and working in a collaborative manner.
